Emails to the estate agents

I could not sleep. I have not felt safe since I saw those guys wandering about the property discussing the yard as though I didn’t exist. I spent the day watching out the window every time someone stopped and as I live beside a sporting club that has meant a busy day.

There is a lot of pain in my limbs as well tonight

Anyway there is no point wishing the estate agents leave me alone. I have to tell them what I want or they will think I have no way of stopping their little passive aggressive stunts. I sent them the following email.

To whomever it may concern,

Yesterday Morning I noticed some men in worker’s jackets wandering about the property discussing the trees. As I was unable to get dressed before they left and they did not tell me they were on the property I guess I may be forgiven for making some assumptions.

You have decided to use this workforce to look after the trees and bushes and hedges on the property. Apart from the Oleander at the rear of apartment 2 and possibly the topiary shrub at the front of apartment 2 no assistance has been requested with the bushes and hedges. When you asked if I wanted gardeners to look after anything just a few weeks ago I specifically told you no. As all of the bushes, fruit trees and hedges are well-cared for, pruned and fed on a seasonal basis there is no need to have your “gardeners” touch them. Apart from the plants mentioned and the mowing of the lawns I ask that your gardeners do not touch any other part of the property. I ask that they do not use glyphosate or poison the areas under or about the trees and along the fences. I ask that they not touch my small gardens and pots and hedges and fruit trees as there is no reason, beyond your need to annoy me, to do so.

If I should find gardeners interfering with said plants or areas they will be asked to cease. They may not enter the property apart from the reasons I have affirmatively mentioned here without first giving me notice as I am sure you are aware.

Information for landlords

One of your responsibilities as a landlord is to ensure that the tenant’s reasonable peace, comfort and privacy are not interrupted by you or any other person under your control. Tenants have a basic right to quiet enjoyment of the premises they are renting.

For this reason, the law restricts the amount of access you, your agent or anyone acting on your behalf can have to the property while it is being rented out. You are only allowed to enter the premises at certain times for certain reasons. You must not ‘drop by’ unannounced, look over the fence or do anything else to disturb the tenant’s privacy and quiet enjoyment.

Thank you for your time

I had intended to put a small video clip onto one of the pages about the feud but it seems this version of Word Press can be difficult to add video to when I am the host for the domain. I will look further into that later. I downloaded a program called Freemake Video Converter to make the clips smaller and try some different file types. The software is fast and easy to use which made it easy to assess where the difficulty was without wasting a lot of time
