Yes, oh paragon of moral virtue, sah! Whatever you say, suh!

Does anyone remember when Max Mosley the Formula One boss was caught on video with a bunch of hookers dressed as Nazis? Remember what he did. He stood up for himself!

It is shameful isn’t it? Not the fact that he was caught but the fact that so many people were prepared to impose their own morality on his life.

Matthew Johns of Channel 9 fame is getting a dose of the same stick.

Whatever he does in the privacy of his home or hotel room is really nobody’s business unless he is breaking the law. Apparently not!

Australia has developed a culture of weak suck-ups in the media business. They are governed by the “grey” mentality of their sponsors who want some kind of lifeless saint they can wheel out for special events or charity dinners.

The ABC has been unbelievably judgmental with the doses of spite they are directing at Johns and football players in general. Some of their female announcers have  been ranting that men who have group sex with women are abusing them! Not pack rape but consensual sex between adults!

Group sex is not an attack on womanhood. Women who engage in group sex do not automatically regret their lives or suffer from those moments. Group sex between consenting adults is a healthy and joyful thing. Normally the most dangerous thing to people who are involved in group sex is being found out by those judgmental individuals who cannot mind their own beeswax

How disappointing are Andrew Johns and the NRL to show such a lack of testicular fortitude in the face of attacks by people who want a world of missionary position sex and mindless smiles on their fluffy football players when they wheel them out to make more profit.

If the game is caused disrepute by anybody it is these creatures who deny the humanity of their players and give upcoming generations the view that there is a pinnacle of human perfection that can be and must be obtained to be a good sportsman. Rubbish!

Remember Dawn Frazer. We loved her all the more for her stand against moral authoritarianism. The NRL and their sponsors need a peppery stick up their butts to give them some backbone and make their testicles hang where they hang on the rest of us.

The sponsor who recognizes how much Australians love the larrikins the NRL is trying to weed out of grade football will get very rich.

And YES, for those who cannot contain their need to point fingers of accusation and dread there are limits to what we should accept.

Johnsy you could try growing a set and standing up for yourself. The NRL, Conservative Christians, feminists and other perpetrators of moral indignation are not going to have any mercy no matter how hard you suck up and watching interviews where you cry as though you had been bayoneting babies was not pleasant.

Rebecca Wilson the commentator speaks as though she has been given the voice of all public morality and harps on about how other men present during the group sex event should give themselves up to the mob she represents. She feels that having sex with a consenting nineteen year old ADULT is somehow showing a lack of proper respect to women. Perhaps Rebecca thinks women are not capable of making their own choices at nineteen. They vote,they drink, they own property, they have children. Is there a question about society allowing them all that freedom in the face of this woman’s pain?

Rebecca is more likely to want to torment men when women do things with men they later regret. Apart from tormenting the guy to despair there is no way of knowing how that will work when women want the right to make their own choices. Making your own choices carries the expectation of taking some responsibility for outcomes

There are a number of people in the world who think that being on television and being able to talk endlessly about sporting minutiae makes them someone of great human understanding and intellect. The rest of us grimace every time they speak as though they know what we are thinking.

During media interviews on Wednesday night several people spoke as though they were talking for the modern public’s morals. They might touch on honesty if they limited their comments to their own moral limitations.

It is offensive to have my proxy as a member of the community used to weight opinion in malicious attacks on a guy who is basically just a human being. Weigh up the pain that woman has put herself through and then look at the destruction of Matthew’s reputation and career.

Deborah Cameron of the ABC radio weighed into the debate and on Thursday 14th May making it clear that as far as she was concerned there was only one moral compass. It was her way or the highway. Once again a narrow minded elitist wants to think they are speaking for everyone who counts in society.

Deborah also made it clear she thinks sporting coaches should brainwash their students and sports people by constantly reinforcing that there is only that moral view. It places her firmly among the sporting fascists of the world and has a great deal in common with the methods and goals of the Hitler Youth in pre-war Germany.

Deborah has also decided to make her own special history of the world and has decided that Matthew Johns’ actions and the actions of people who pee on Manly Corso are indicative of a general coarsening of social morals. Perhaps radio announcers get slow with age and their intellect softens as well.

In Australia there was a time when the official policy on women saw women in the Parramatta Women’s Factory as being available for prostitution. Then there were the nineteen sixties and seventies when many more people were seen to have group sex than appear to now and Deb’s morality would have been laughable.

Modern Australia has been slowly forced into a far more Victorian idea of morality lately. The moral campaigners have been making better use of the media airwaves than most of the rest of us who do not see other people’s morals as such a threat.

Debs radio guest on Thursday was just one example of the way her power can be used to press her morality onto others. He was an unknown football coach from a small team but he agreed with her and gave her opinion weight it did not deserve. He was also in total agreement that coaches should have control over how players acted and thought even in the minor grades and that ADULTS at nineteen years of age were just impressionable kiddies who needed someone to tell them what to think. Scary stuff!

Post Script: 14 May .

On Thursday night a few things have happened that are worth mentioning. Matthew Johns has spoken several times and shown he is intelligent and loving and has the backbone he was accused of not having earlier in the entry. It is a disgrace to see him pilloried as though he has done no good in his life and everything he is should revolve around one incident.

A lot of people have decided his wife is a very good woman indeed

The NRL bosses came onto the Footy Show and their pain and concern were obvious. It changes the view of them held earlier in this blog page as well. They are under attack constantly and that too is a terrible position for them to be facing. Their helplessness to live up the impossible expectations of some parts of the mob is not pleasant to be witnessing and must be intolerable to actually face.

There was a reason for taking the extreme side in this. Where is the line? Where are sportsmen going to be able to let their hair down and how likely is it that some self promoted paragon of virtue will come along and scream like a pig that they are not being dignified enough?

Where is the line on sexual behavior that will not offend someone stealing a camera into their private lives or talking up a storm about some incident that they find offensive?

Maybe there should be a list of all the conceivable sex acts and places that can possibly entertain them and the public can vote on which ones they will string up their stars over and the NRL can match that by declaring at what point they will back up their crew and tell the malicious paragons of virtue they are out of line.

Things like two a league star watching two girls have cuddles while he pleases himself in a woman’s wig. How about Deborah Cameron give that one a score out of ten. Ten being so disgusting she would kick the guy out of his lifetime career, ruin his family and pillory him all over the airwaves. Or pillory me for being so disgusting as to mention it!

Can a guy have a few drinks and get tipsy, laugh uproariously

These guys deserve to know just which things are included in the list of things “they should have known” would get the harpy brigade on their cases. A lot of things Deborah Cameron’s crowd seems to find disgusting or unthinkable are nothing more than the human relations many of us indulge in as LIFE

Some of the guys on the Footy Show thought a guy who considered group sex as a fair pursuit was a goose whose opinion was not worth considering. They were quick to dismiss ideas they found threatening with insults and derision. Perhaps they were frightened the moral attack dogs might have bitten their careers too.
