Conversations and Christenings

I started with a lot to say today. Let’s see if we can get through any of it before I forget.

My nephew’s young son was christened a day or so ago. They looked very happy in the Facebook photograph and the little dude was beaming as though he loved being the center of attention for a while.

Christenings were a huge issue with me a while back. It offended me deeply that people would take the choice of which religion to follow away from children before they were old enough to make a decision. It was one of the things I expected from an overwhelmingly controlling force like Christianity. The conditioning of children and the way of locking them into the slow sickening spiral that eroded their ability to have personal spiritual experiences before giving all the power to priests was a problem. It blinded them to the subtlety of otherworldly things available outside the political and philosophical machination of the churches and their judgmental lords.

I remember being made Godfather of young Jeff by Kay who was very isolated back then. She wanted me in their life more and hoped I would protect him if it came to that. I would have. The process included christening and I was horrified that he was christened by the force that had stripped his people of their spiritual base and treated them with the most cruelty. I was horrified that I was included in that ceremony and but for my love for Kay’s little troupe I would have left. She needed me to be there so I was but the way I was treated as though each part of the ceremony was a precious thing that I should be honored to have inflicted on me was harsh to deal with. I kept my mouth firmly shut.

That was how it went at that time. I cared deeply for that family and have never been as forthcoming with the way I felt about the christening before. Things changed though and I am happy for Jeff now. It was John the Baptist that had me changing my mind. I know there are baptists and some of them are quite nasty right-wing fascisti in their their judgement of others. They don’t count when you look at John. He didn’t know the Baptists would evolve. John the Baptists was carrying out a very ancient ritual when he welcomed people by immersing them. It is not just a ritual of ancient Hebrew descent but something that has echoes around the planet and may have been known among the proto-humans and before the great exodus from Africa. There are ceremonies recognizing the “magic” of our bond with water throughout humanity.

In the case of the Christians christening people it is much like christmas and easter. Ancient beliefs have been carried past the guardians who would destroy old knowledge and practices. They are hidden in the traditions of the new religion and carried out faithfully without a doubt or a complaint. They are just as beautiful and carry just as much spiritual coin as they always have and whatever they once connected us to is still connected. I can feel my memory failing me here again. I had a great package of connections and references that were freely bouncing about in my mind when I sat down to write and now I balk at this point in the posting. Anyway. Congratulations Mick.

Something called the Windows Authentication tool got into my computer and annoyed me for several weeks with a constant nag screen telling me this version of Windows was not authentic. It drove me mad and I really attacked the Microsoft Community forum over it. It took them several weeks to clear it for me and we were back and forth with bits of code and tests. My point which was amply made was that hardly anyone I knew would have the time or the skill to get in and clean this out even with the support of the forum.

I am very paranoid and notice that a whole bunch of problems have arisen simultaneously over the internet. I notice the Australian Military Aviation Toxic Exposure victim’s group is active again. That fact alone may bring attention back onto my sites. I have my brother’s Deseal\reseal story including the reports of his death and I know the some government agencies consider that a reason to have a go at me. The story of the Ray White Advantage Card is mine as well. That was a total whistle blower effort on my part and my analysis of the outcomes of using the card had a whole covey of similar planned units banned by government legislation. I will rebuild that site soon as the information on some other pages is out of date.

I have been too ill to work on the sites for ages but they all need a dust off since they were migrated to new servers. I lost access for a week during that time and one of my email sites was blocked. It had five thousand spam mail on it when I went back in so I can be certain someone was attacking me. The spam lessened when I changed both the Spam Assassin settings and the servers. I had been blocked from several forums as a spammer but nobody actually told me that was why or what was going on.

The court diaries offend some very powerful people on the coast. They want to get used to it. I have all the paperwork and still plan a new site that uncovers the level of corruption and disregard for the unreality people at the bottom end of the court system have to deal with. There is contempt for law and morality becoming behavioral norms by real estate agents and developers. There is atrocious behavior  by some court officers. I should not forget to add that there are knights in shining armor and hidden angels too. It will be a while before I get to that.

The Budgewoi Fire Station site is under attack from hackers and spammers who seem to be able to piggy back their spam attacks on the name of the site’s domain without ever actually invading it. We will have to see what becomes of that. Several of those officers used their position there to excuse their physical attack on a handicapped man and their subsequent lies about the event were protected by their head office and Police although they were proven false in court. I am not happy to let that go after so much harm was done and continues for that person. If they can extend the harm without an apology I can certainly maintain the rage and my efforts to see it isn’t forgotten.

The television was a dongle that projected through the computer monitor and it has failed.

Without television coming in on an antenna I have had to find other ways to get content so I have streamed movies and programs from SBS and ABC. The isp account had to be upgraded to an unlimited account but Dodo made it so it would not become effective for over a month and I know I will need more bandwidth than I have. I could not understand the girl I spoke to on the phone about it and I needed to have some things explained. I want to know if I should be changing to ADSL+2 or if the NBN is cheaper. There is just no way I can glean enough information from her. Her accent is too strong. I will try again Monday and probably get in trouble for being a racist when I demand a native English speaker I can understand. I have been looking all over the net for content I can stream without being stuck in a contract or subscription but they all need you to sign on. The potential of the internet is being crushed to suit the corporations there. I have been watching television since the accident back in 1980. Before that I didn’t watch it at all. I was an outdoors person who did things instead. Since then though I have come to use television as a replacement for my life. The silence in between streamed movies now that the chaotic advertising is gone from my life is too still. I am suffering a sense of loss and loneliness that reeks of addiction and neediness. I hope the emotional struggle with loneliness and boredom that has arisen in the silence will become a new creative wave rather than just ongoing loss. I can hope. Right?

Al sent me a dongle that becomes a spectrum analyzer for the various bands of radio. It took a few days to get the drivers to work and I still don’t have a clue how to use it but I will soon enough. More research. My brother came and we had lunch at The Entrance. What can I say? It was so good to see him and far too short a time. I could have seen him more often but he came at a time I was fighting angina after angina attack and I wasn’t well enough. Illness, after a point it is always there.

I got onto Dodo this morning and asked about NBN and ADSL+2 accounts but they couldn’t give me those speeds. I had the changes rolled back. I had asked to be upgraded to unlimited but they wanted a month before it happened and I figure if I can last a month I don’t need the changes or extra costs.

The internet was rolling in at a very low speed for about a week. ABC content would not download at all and many sites would not load. SpyBot is on the machine and was using a proxy to download data. The proxy was disabled and a huge full scan run across the back of everything. It took most of a day to get all the drives. In a few weeks with full firewall and antiviral protection there were still over a hundred virus, malware and Trojan units found on that machine. The cookies were also largely deleted. It works well now and I am left with the feeling that is far too many unhealthy things being found on a consumer machine despite all the security.

There are two new backup drives. One is a Toshiba drive of a terabyte in size and that is using EaseUs backup software running incremental backups. The other is a 250Gb  Freecom unit for all the files I use while making images. If I ever do that again. The file system on the computer has become overpopulated and difficult to manage with its thirty thousand or so images. With all the attcks it seems prudent to have as many fall backs as possible including some backups that are only updated after major file changes and are locked away
